Terms of service

The general rules for businesses that use Aipiter. Each business’s contract sets out the details.

Updated

1. Parties and scope

Aipiter is a service of Meypi Developers; its owner’s details are in the legal notice. These terms apply to the businesses and professionals that contract it for their activity: Aipiter is not aimed at consumers.

Each business’s contract or accepted proposal sets the scope and prevails on whatever it regulates specifically, without setting aside mandatory rules. Neither browsing this website nor asking for a demo creates a contract.

2. The service

Aipiter brings together in one dashboard the WhatsApp chats, customer records, the calendar and an AI assistant that replies using what the business publishes. Each business’s modules, channels, limits, service level and price are those in its contract. The dashboard is offered in Spanish.

3. Accounts and team

Accounts are personal and not shared: signing in takes your own account, the code sent by email and a second factor. The business assigns the roles and removes access from anyone who no longer needs it.

The business is responsible for its data, its instructions and the information it publishes for the assistant being lawful, accurate and up to date. Suspicious access is reported as soon as it is detected, to hola@aipiter.com.

4. Permitted use

Aipiter may not be used to:

  • Send messages nobody asked for, use bought lists or write to anyone who has opted out.
  • Present the assistant as a person, or impersonate another person or business.
  • Try to reach another business’s data, get around the service’s limits or test its security without a written agreement.
  • Process health data, children’s data or other special categories without a legal basis and without the safeguards the law requires.
  • Ask customers by message for card or bank details, passwords or identity documents.
  • Resell the service without a written agreement.

The assistant introduces itself as automated, as the EU artificial intelligence act requires (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, art. 50), and offers to put the person through to the team. Breaking any of these rules allows the affected account or channel to be suspended.

5. Meta channels

The business connects its own WhatsApp Business account through Meta’s official means and accepts its terms. It must have each person’s permission where the WhatsApp policy requires it and respect every opt-out; Aipiter records it and stops replying to that person.

WhatsApp only allows free-form replies up to 24 hours after the customer’s most recent message; beyond that, templates approved by Meta are needed. Meta may limit or suspend an account or a template under its policies, even when Aipiter is working properly.

Aipiter is not a Meta Business Partner or a service endorsed by Meta. The Meta Platform Terms and the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy apply, and nothing in these terms allows anyone to get around them.

6. Data and exit

The data and the channels belong to the business. Aipiter processes them to provide the service, as a processor, under the data processing agreement signed before starting (article 28 GDPR). The providers involved are listed under subprocessors.

When the service ends, the business receives its data in an exportable package and the data is then deleted, as the agreement says and except what the law requires to be kept. Contracting Aipiter does not transfer ownership of the software, and third-party components keep their licences.

7. AI, availability and liability

The assistant can make mistakes and does not replace a professional’s advice. That is why it asks for confirmation before booking or changing data and hands over to the team whatever it cannot resolve; how it works is explained under AI transparency.

The service depends on external providers and channels. Incidents and maintenance are handled diligently and according to the service level in the contract, without promising absolute availability.

Liability limits are agreed in the contract, without excluding those the law does not allow to be limited, such as damage caused wilfully (article 1102 of the Spanish Civil Code).

8. Price, duration and termination

The price, taxes, payment method, duration, renewal and notice period are in the proposal or the contract. The service may be suspended for non-payment, prohibited use, a security risk or an order from an authority.

9. Changes and governing law

Significant changes are announced with reasonable notice. Spanish law applies and, unless the contract or a mandatory rule says otherwise, the courts of Barcelona have jurisdiction.
